In dire need of a shopping excursion!

Yesterday was a SAD day! I started spring cleaning...desperately trying to clean my house from the January/February exhaustion that baby had set in! Now that I have energy, there is much to do! So I decided it has been so beautiful and almost April so I would put my sweaters away and try on my summer clothes. None of my buttons fastened on shorts and on my dresses either they didn't fit in the belly or in the bust. Brandon and I both agree that my bump is tiny! You can't tell it is a baby bump yet. So I figured I would be able to put a few more weeks into my favorite clothes! Glad my sister is coming up in two weeks - I am in dire need of a shopping trip--just the basics.

Can't wait to find out then what sex baby H is either! I have been having crazy dreams--its a girl or snakes/not a boy! I woke Brandon up the other night and said "It can't be a boy because I refuse to have reptiles in my home!" I kept having a recurrent nightmare of snakes all around my feet! It was terrible! Either way girl or boy we can not wait! We have the initials picked out ~ and names. It's really fun right now because Brandon and I both call baby by his/her name already. We just can not wait!

Yesterday we bought our first piece of nursery furniture ~ a glider! By the time we got home, Brandon was nearly asleep in the rocking chair! We have our glider and our nursery theme ~ baby animal jungle.

I just read the best book this week! Highly recommended by my Husband and I to everyone! Heaven is for Real by Todd Burpo. Todd Burpo, a pastor writes about his child who has emergency surgery and afterword over a period of several years begins to explain what heaven is like - things a 3 1/2 year old child do not know and it coincides with scripture. He tells who he meets. It is a story that hits every emotion! Great book and a Must Read!!

Hope everyone has a Great Day!! Enjoy the Beautiful weather!

Love my Grandma!

Brandon and I got a package in the mail the othe day. It was addressed to "Mommy and Daddy Henderson". It was from my Grandma Shirley. Now my Grandma Shirley is amazing and so talented! She make's absolutely beautiful quilts, embroiders and sews all kinds of awesome stuff, and knits. I mean she can do it all!! Brandon and I opened it in awe! I mean seriously! She had wrapped everything up individually and so neatly it was so much fun and exciting to open! On top were the cutest knitted baby caps. Next were indivdually wrapped white baby booties that she had knitted. Brandon said "I knew she was talented but these are amazing". To go with this, Grandma made a sleeper sack for baby to snuggle down in. It is teal and white to match the hats.  A teal, blue, and white blanket was next. It is the softest blanket and I know baby is going to love it! All of this she knitted and it would have taken me over a year to do! For Brandon, get this....She embroidered a train engine on a onsie! Brandon works for Norfolk Southern so he loves his trains and is around them everyday. Last but not least she sewed a cute little blanket and embroidered a little teddy bear with balloons sliding down a starcase bannister. Oh my goodness it was such a wonderful and exciting surprise!

So blessed to have such a wonderful family!

My First Blog

Okay so I am going to give this a try!! I can not promise it will be good but I love to talk so this at least should be fun! It will be a precious reminder of all the wonderful things God is continuing to do in may life! First and foremost I have such an amazing husband, Brandon! Although especially now I do not tell him enough! We got married September 25, 2010 and so much has changed since then!! So a little catch up...My husband got a job with Norfolk Southern, I am so proud of him! He works so hard and works a lot but when he gets home he continually tries to help me around the house! We have a lot of dinner and DVR dates trying to catch up on our favorite shows now! Prior to us moving to Norfolk, VA we lost our beloved Kahlua to parvo, she was 5 years old. Kahlua was our first dog together. She was the sweetest doggy! She would get so excited and pee everywhere, get all up in your face when she was upset, and most of all love being in her daddies arms! She is greatly missed around our house! It is very quiet around our house! Daisy is our 4 5 year old princess. I found her on the side of the road and since her life has drastically changed! She is super spoiled especially now being the only child. She is our baby and we love her so much!

I am so fortunate to have the best family ever! Brandon and I say all the time how lucky we were to be able to marry into such amazing families filled with so much love and laughter! For that, I am truly grateful! This year is going to be so exciting! My sister, Abby is GRADUATING in May from East Carolina University and SHE FOUND OUT SHE PASSED THE PRAXIS THIS WEEK!! My sister in law,Brianna is getting MARRIED to Zach in July. He is such a great guy and I am so excited for them!

12 week ultrasound

Now...We are expecting a new addition to the family this year! Currently I am 13 weeks and due August 28, 2012. Just about out of my first trimester. I have been absolutely exhausted with some nausea but I just keep telling myself that I am blessed -- it could be worst! We had a rough January with calls to the doctor and early ultrasounds but everything is getting better now and our little one's heart is beating rapidly and will make you melt! Our last ultrasound at 12 weeks was amazing! The little one was waving and kicking all around. One second its head was on the right and the next it was on the left. It was wild to watch. It is already so active but I do not feel a thing...BESIDES IT TAKING ALL MY ENERGY! It is truly amazing to watch baby Henderson grow. I look forward to all of our adventures in store for our family this year!
